The plan goes...very wrong. When Sage is tortured and killed for helping a spy Alan makes an even bigger mistake and kills Dr. Markov. Now he has M44 and he's going to get some answers from the Rektor.

Three months ago a baby was stolen from Mojave by some of your people. Where is he ?,” I demand.

“We don’t know--,” Ilena starts.

“You shut up,” Bishop growls at her. ”No more games... There was a baby brought here once.  But it went straight to Mother,”

“What did she do with him ?,” I ask.

“We don’t know,” Bishop says. “We never saw it again.”

I raise the gun at him again.

“Take me to the Rektor,” I say. “ Now.”

“I can’t give you an audience with the Rektor on short notice--,”

“I don’t want an audience,” I tell him. “I want to question her.  Alone.”

 I only did it up to how the organization relates to the characters and to the RLA police force. In my head there are a few more undersecretaries. And obviously soldiers who are drafted are at the bottom.

Previously...

Alan is invited to the Rektor's Board meeting and he discovers it's literally a board...a chess board!  Alan runs to the safe house and they come up with a plan to work with the Nico Santoro's Cavolcotti Riders--who also have a grudge with the Mjollner --to attack the Rektor's Board and get the Rektor alone to question her.

To give them a better advantage Alan plans to pay off some of the Mjollner's street samauri to switch sides. It's a good thing he saw a familiar face at the Board meeting:

“Remember me?,” Belle asked.
“Yeah,” I say confidently, but I’m panicking. She could blow my cover. “You tried to kill me.”
“I was just following orders,” she sighed. “You know how it is. “
“Maybe,” I admit.
“You switched teams, huh ?,” she said.
“It’s complicated.” I tell her and she nods.
“I get it,” she tells me and splays out her fingernails. “I just go where the pay is good,”

UL3 Writing Update

Today I'm doing a GIF post on the struggle of being in the trenches of writing UL3

 

UL is so nostalgic to me.  I honestly think I could just write UL3 for me and never post it.

When I tell you I'm bowing out of the snippet war with Lile

When I read all the pantsing no-end-in-sight craziness of the original UL for research

 

When I tell Erik I'm at the "coffee shop" writing UL

 

When I hit writer's block with UL3

When I write for more than 20 minutes straight

When I use the unposted sections from OHG for UL3 and get to write less

Previously

Isla Haley has been selling Harlow's stolen items for money at a flea market.  Meanwhile at camp Harmony Corp. Strange  and Corp. St. John  are trying to get Haley to help them remove  Sgt. Maxwell from his post.

But Haley is on thin ice with Maxwell. He is being blackmailed into sleeping with Maxwell because Haley confessed he may have helped Harlow kill their brother-in-law. Oh and apparently Maxwell is into power play and auto erotic asphyxiation

Also this scene:

"Headquarters is asking that we offload 30% of our inmate population," Corp. St. John said. "They’ve sent a list of who they recommend. I’ve already asked Halloran to begin arranging the transport--,”

“I got the message,” Maxwell says. “I’ll take it from here.”

“Yes, sir.” St. John said with a nod. “And sir--,”

“What ?,”

“Um..Nothing, sir.”

“What corporal ? ,”

“I was just going to ask you, sir…..Why are they doing this, sir ? Did we do something ?,”

Maxwell had no fucking clue, but in lieu of answering he turns his back on St. John and slams his office door. St. John couldn’t be too far from the truth.

 He had either done something very good. Or something very bad.

Alan kills three men on motorcycles who are trying to kill Dr. Markov. Alan reports on it to the Rektor--who is a woman !  But while at the meeting Alan notices...something and he think he may know how to find Sara and Rayne's missing baby.
In other news, Rayne rewards Minnow's killing of Mjollner by making her a full member of the cartel.
