Shawna is Unoriginal

The Place They Call The End of The World
Well, I wanted to give Lile some official respect. Her novella  blew me away, it was so perfect ! I read it multiple times just to get every bit  of awesome out of  it.

I do have to make one exception.  Jean throws knives at one point and that strikes me as really out of character. While within the Veritas realm we don't actually see Jean fight to much, in my head he wouldn't throw the knives, he would like to keep his pain infliction personal. Other than that, it is perfection and has all the feel I want for Vice. Serious kudos, Lile. . . it only took like 3 years.

I Did A Thing
So, the Vice thing is going.....s-l-o-w-l-y (update ! I actually got an outline going that I want to keep). I'm have an outline-ish thing together, but I'm probably going to throw it out pretty soon and start free falling. Anyway, something sort of happened to me...I got an idea for a new serial. Like it out of the blue has been following me around and it kind of meshes with the idea I had for doing more with Blessed Hearts. I'm still waiting for it to fully materialize, but i have some clear character sketches in my head. They just need a plot and things to do. *To TVtropes*

Shawna is Unoriginal
I am loving this T-Doll action and I decided to do some of my own. Now, it would take me forever to slosh through everything I have done so I decided to TDOLL style a few chapters from UL. More specifically, I did a chapter that represents Julianna's relationship with the three boys in her life

And you know what ?

I learned a lot about these characters and about my serials in the process. I also TDOLL-ed  the Veritas Reboot chapter to explain the changes, but that's going to come later.

I was going to post them all at once, but each chapter is about 8,000 words so I decided to put them separate.

I've hopefully provided enough context that you don't need to re-read anything.

Kirsten Stewart, Lack of Subtlety and Why the CIA may come after me one day...Chapter 11 of UL.

    1. I guess I am TDOSH-ing. TDOLL was turning into one of those things like Scuba where we jjust think about the intials and what it means, but not what is stands for.

  2. Wow, I can't believe this is chapter 11, it feels like 5 or 6. I just fell back in love with UL and Sawyer.

    1. You have to take into account that Elisa on the commune is a big bulk of the story during this part. Which reminds me of something I said to Lile about parts I have no recollection of writing. Elisa on the commune is one of those parts.

  3. YAY ! an update, when it saw it I sent out a mass e-mail to Carleigh and Cranberrivodka !

The blue font makes me feel so nostalgic. I felt so bad for Juliana and Sawyer ):

    1. Well, right now it has a male narrator and I have the first paragraph with him in first person. I really want to write more females and third person, but he just came to me with this nice little beginning in first person.

  5. Well . . . if it has something to do with BH then I think it's must be paranormal or about Royalty

    1. I don't, Rhett wasn't as nice as he could have been. ): Although I would like to see how he went from TL to Rhett Clark.

    2. The chapter I chose for Rhett is actually right about at this transformation. I may actually give him two...I did one, but maybe another is in order. These chapters are just SO long.

    1. I'm so glad. Unfortunatley, TVtropes is distracting me. I get caught up in the crowning moments pages.

  9. At first I didn't like Brad but he was kind of redeemed in UL2, I mean he didn't do anything that wrong... right ?

    1. Hm, at this point I think Cortland is worse that Brad. Cortland wasn't appreciative.

    2. No, Brad isn't doing anything illegal. She is 18 and a consenting adult. But he does buy meth and that is wrong. Oh, nevermind, he is also cheating on his wife, so yeah...

  10. So speaking of BH . . .

  11. I've always loved the J/S bit in 11.3 ! It's like Juliana and Sawyer get closer but also keep a distance. It's when they act like kids.

    2. I actually really like drunk Sawyer.

  12. I don't care what people say, SH is the originator of the Breaking Bad concept ! Sawyer should totally write a tell-all.

    1. Yeah and with Caine being his dad, I would be so awesome.

    2. Juliana not calling meth "meth" is so realistic. They do that In Breaking Bad

    3. She is just doing what Sawyer told her to do at this point. He taught her the "lingo" so to speak.

  13. Oh, it's just so wonderful to get a glimpse inside your head. It's so hard to believe someone as nice and sweet as you could come up with something to dark. I feel like a lot of girls get caught in the trap Juliana does, so it's good she has Saywer there to balance her out.

    2. Izzien, it's my maiden name. Why ?

    3. Thank you Cori ! It's totally fiction. I TDOSH'd that while watching Baby M sleep... I don't want to use her name too much on the blog, so I need to think of a "blog" name for her.

  15. In the new serial you said you had characters first. Is that how it worked for the others. Like Veritas and BH ?

    2. I'll have to blog about this, but mostly I have clear characters and then I scrape a plot together.

  16. Was Juliana always 18 ? I thought she was younger at first.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, she is 18. I did blog that in retrospect I might have made her younger to more mimic what goes on in cults, but eh, I like her being 18. It gives her more freedom to get away with things like living on her own.

  17. Ah, this chapter makes me feel sad because I'm totally rooting for Juliana and Swayer here and I know what happens in the future. I guess that comes from not having the Elisa chapters.

  18. It's good to know i"m not the only one you watches Detorit : sex workers on MSNBC. Do you think Juliana would get as much attention if she wasn't blonde ?

    1. I think I was watching that show that used to come one...it was about cops...it came on after lockup....it was called The Squeeze or something.

Yes, I think J being blonde does give her a "novelty"

  19. I love the grittiness of this chapter. People all think of Florida as a sun shiny place and this flips the script

    1. I imagine Miami as this party all-night super sexy city. I liked to compare that to the small town, bleakness of San Costa where they actually live.

    1. Is like En Moritas or something. I mean BH is about Angels and Demons and maybe the afterlife. So since En Moritas deals with death . . .

    2. Hmm, I still don't know enough about it to really answer this. But I am going for a no death angle this time. I feel like I lean on that one hard.
