To keep up with pacing, we're going back to Alex and Harlow. Harlow tries to frame Alex for stealing a pair of shoes, but now they've both been arrested with two of Harlow's friends for stealing a pair of shoes. To make matters worse, Harlow has drugs in the pocket of the jacket Alex was wearing...

Love the music, Honey. You know I sometimes think a lot about Sundays and some of the things I thought about where in here like the use of corporal punishment and how they labor camp is made of criminals and desperate men.

Um, well you won't get a double chapter post, but something close to it; I'm going to post two in-story flashfics before chapter six.

ReplyDeleteI have no idea why I am obsessed with writing brothers recently, but I like it too.
DeleteBut I also don't see Harlow attacking the other boy as an act, he really is angry and has a "rage" button so to speak. I guess it's like "no one can be a jerk to my brother except me" kind of thing.
My big takeaway is that we need to hear more from protective moms like Isla and Sara. I'm guessing these archetypes aren't common in CP ?
ReplyDeleteIt's actually interesting because we see a lot less of the tech used in Alan's A-story where this is more extravagance. Would black market doctors like Blackbird have been able to better help Maxwell when he was hurt ?
DeleteNilla Latte - These archetypes aren't common, but only because (in my beginner opinion) very male oriented.
DeleteNatalie-- Blackbird probably could have helped Maxwell, but it would have been expensive. The reason Maxwell didn't get the best care was because the RLA had to do it on the cheap.

ReplyDeleteShe does actually, I forgot. I'm going to do a Round 2 picspiration. In my head, Gram did everything right and "proper" so she had Alex's mom when she was older, like 34 and assuming Alex's mom had kids young I'd say Gram is like... late 70's.
