I'm sure I should have a million things to blog about but, I can't remember them right now. I did get started on the lexicon but, it is a big work-in-progress.
Music
I do have one thing to blog about. This whole story all of the elements and little things came from the song Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation. Lile mentioned listening to the lyrics to this song a while ago and I did and somehow this story developed out of the lyrics. So, this was my "root" song in Pandora. Of course I did not account that that means all the music sounds similar so, I will be working on diversifying the playlist.
Chapter 4
This chapter is once again a short one that felt long so, I decided to cut it into two parts. So, if you want to read part 1 and then read part 2 later that may help it make more sense.
Chapter 4
Playlist
Part I
Sideways by Citizen Cope ( I wish they had an instrumental only of this song)
Part II
-2- When I'm Gone by 3 Doors Down
-3- Erase/Rewind by Cardigans
I'm not sure how my uber-feminist side feels about some aspects of this story . . .
ReplyDeleteSo, Kytoxcin is a synthetic isotope of Uranium that saves people's lives ?
ReplyDeleteLOL, Alan didn't realize they were siblings.
ReplyDelete"I watched enviously as Mom weeped into Dad’s shoulder", this part makes since now
ReplyDeleteumm, what's a deckjockey considered in this canon ?
ReplyDeleteIs there an instrumental of Sidways, it would be a pretty song.
ReplyDeleteIs there more history to what caused The Split, or was it just based on Chrome.
ReplyDeleteAlan mentions that the Former Republic became a manufacturing site, how is it that he doesn't know that technology is produced there.
ReplyDeleteSo, the Truths Sara is talking about is human testing on Uranium ?
^ I would think the Truths have more to do with The Shift.
ReplyDeleteWow, there seems to be alot going on in 2081
ReplyDeletePart one actually seemed short so I read it all at once !
ReplyDeleteOhh, Pomegranates again.
ReplyDeleteWas there an earlier mention of Mr. Kyto's war stories ?
ReplyDeleteWill the Lexicon include all the nicknames for United States (The State), The Former Republic and the East.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Sara I would be more upset with the Shift than the Uranium issue, since one seems to effect her life more.
ReplyDeleteIt seems strange that Sara would just decide not to kill Alan, I think she kind of likes him.
ReplyDeleteIs there a reason they call Russia the USSR
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact pink Gun I want my Hubby to buy me.
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact pink Gun I want my Hubby to buy me.
ReplyDelete^ LOL, but I did notice that Mrs. Gray has a pink Syndicate and Allison was online shopping. IT seems females are more stereotypical except for Sara that is.

ReplyDeleteLinda-- Well, parts of this are inspired by some feminist speculative fiction . . .
Carleigh-- Let me think of a way to explain this . . . Kytoxcin is used to make scientific advancements possible.
Petite_b-- When I finished chapter two I realized I never stated there relationship and there was no way for Alan to tell what it was. All he knew was they had the same last name. I was actually surprised you all caught on to it.
Picture_girl-- Yea foreshadowing !
Terri84-- A computer programmer or hacker.
Petunia-- You know I never checked . . . there is one on youtube.
Hannah-- I think like all splits in history it happens after war because of differing opinions.
Natalie-- He knows it is produced there he just doesn't know how. Kind of like how you know Nikes are made in Indonasia but, you don't really know how.
Maison-- For her it is more about the dangers of uranium
CaliforniaBlues-- There is and I was unsure on how to unravel it. I will definatley sort things out in the lexicon.
xxxSakuraxx-- It is but, the whole thing together is a lot of information.
Snowqueen-- This was actually a coincidental symbolism. Points to whoever can figure out what it means.
BlueBells-- There were. But, in my head they were more stories about DITL of military, nothing gruesome or detailed.
M.Costa-- Yes, but I wanted to wait to post this chapter before I did it.
Lorrie-- Yes but, this was something that happened 40 years before she was born.
World_in_my_eyes-- He reminds her of her husband when he starts quoting Shakespeare (cliches storm !). Don't ask me why. Thats why she says he reminds her of someone she used to know.
Kelli-- Yes. In this reality the USSR never fell. I was going to blog about it later.
NextMrsCullen-- To each her own !
Pink-- Well, Minnie has a pink gun because she is kind of girly. As for Mrs. Gray's pink syndicate that is kind of like how women have pink phones.
I will definatley sort out anything that is unclear in the next blog post. I know it is a lot.
