Today I have been working non-stop but, I was working with Jill Lamberton today and we came up with an interview to post here.
What made you become a writer ?
It was something I always liked to do and it came naturally to me but, I wasn't really planning on it. A bunch of great opportunities just sort of fell into my lap.
What inspires you ?
Everything from music to my family to walking people walk down the street.
What is your job like at Cobalt ?
It is perfect for me. I get to not only write but, I also edit specific manuscripts, put together press material and occasionally edit stuff for LA magazine and serve on the Board so, I am very fulfilled.Working at Cobalt has been great because I came to LA knowing nobody but, people at the company made me feel at home and like I walked into a group of friends. It has been really great.
What is next ?
I have no idea. I want to wander into lighter territory. I am not ashamed to write the type of book you take to the beach with you.
What is it like working with JB ?
I knew this was coming. Joel is really a sweet man and he is a very nice guy. Our writing styles are very different but he helps me when I need it. I think Joel is a natural writer. I think it comes from the books he reads so he is always good to suggest a good book.
I've updated United Light but, I will warn you because I did this update this so soon it is short.
What kind of books has JB suggested. I know he loves the classics.
ReplyDeleteI go to the beach all the time in Miami and bring HBC with me.
ReplyDeleteyes ! an update
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you and JB work together. He should comment on your blog more.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like how you changed the chapter things, but it seems like you're copying Linda again.
ReplyDeleteI keep getting Elisa and Elias mixed up, Lol
ReplyDeleteYou're not from LA ? are you from the east coast sense that is where most of your books take place ?
ReplyDeleteI'm a big JB fan but it's kindv'e annoying how he is always invading other Cobaltians blogs and web pages.
ReplyDeleteIs Cobaltians a thing now ?
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures you've chosen, glad you got a break from work.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read it, Jill gives the best interviews.
ReplyDeleteAre the updates on the main site or on the UL website ?

ReplyDelete@ Charity - Well, the first time we went to a book store together he suggested I read Sophie's Choice by William Styron and more recently he suggested The Second Sex by Simone De Beauvoir Walden by Henry David Thoreau. He says they have affected his thinking.
