Well, this was entirely unplanned.
It just kind of felt right to post something today. And I really didn't want to wait until 2014. So here is a preview of chapter 1 of Vices. I've been sitting on this for...a while. I'm not posting the entire thing because I am in the process of (slowly) changing bits and don't want to mess up continuity.

ReplyDeleteWell, I'll blog more on this. Originally, I was just going to rewrite within the chapters, but then I started doing it from scratch..which I DID NOT want to do, but I had to. So, this is just as much work as the original.

DeleteI can see that Alan is like his dad they way he says his mom is using her syndicate for "something stupid". I wonder if people felt this way about the internet and now all we do use it for is "stupid stuff" (exculding anything related to SV.of course !)

ReplyDeleteI know, right ? As I mentioned earlier, her proximity chip thing is from a William Gibson short story, not my own creation.
DeleteI don't want to compare this version to the other version but it's amazing how the tone shifts when it goes from a New Year's party instead of a funeral. It meant that Alan wouldn't be getting Allison a gift and he wasn't talking to her because he felt bad for her losing her dad.
