Office Romance

Well, Joel was in charge of creating the title for today's entry. I'll let him explain.

I'm thankful that Shawna lets me write in her blog. I have to say I have always loved writing almost as much as I loved reading. Recently I spend lots of time at work but I'm not writing so, working with Shawna is it nice to be back at work but, doing what I love. I will say this is going to still be mostly Shawna because I want this to be a Shawna Harrison thing not a "JB" story. That is why we aren't explicitly saying how we are writing. Unless I have something to add Shawna will be doing most of the 'blogging'.

Well, this is our first time posting together. We have decided to post chapter 4,5&6 at the same time. I really wanted to have some chapter 7 for you as well but, it's still in the 'presses'. After you read chapter 4 you'll have to go to the IVB Web Serial page to access the others. We've only added one song to the playlist. I honestly feel like I am stockpiling songs, I have so many in my 'inspiration' page but never find a place for them. I added the song to the end of the playlist because I realized it chronologically made more sense but, IDK what do you guys think?

I guess there are no other words.

  3. Is there going to be an exact order for all of the POVS ? I liked these chapters, they were just all to short.

  5. I'm still reeling over the fact that Shawna used "IDK". I guess us commenters are rubbing off on you.

  6. We learned in Nick's intro that his mom has Alzheimer's I hope he didn't lose her, that would be so sad.

  8. I know they are New Yorkers, but is there a reason that Darcy and Nick decide to wear Yankees caps ?

  10. JB, we do want to hear from you. This is just as much your story as Sara's.

  11. ^ first of all it's the HBIC, SHAWNA and even if JB contributes it's still her story. He said it himself.

    Love this chapter Shawna, the song was new to me. *goes to itunes*

  12. The string entrance to the song went well with Nicks's section and I felt like the Piano went well with Slate and of course Elias "thinking over" what to do about his situation.

  13. I'm very interested in Emily now. She sounds like a good supporting character. I like how Slate is such a hypocrite.

  14. Did JB help with this chapter any ? can you just tell us when he writes a chapter. It's adorable how JB uses blue font.

  15. I like the use of "gospel" type music in such an emotional charged story. You said so much in so few words.

  16. Is in the "presses" like being in the "trenches" ? I was a little saddened by the lack of picutures *is ashamed*

  20. I squeed when I saw the blue font, it is such a trademark.

  21. I like your style Shawna, but I kept trying to fit the song into a UL context I don't know why. Was this one of Pandora's picks ?

  22. I felt so sorry for Emily, she does so much good. She is way to good for Slate.

  23. @ Linda-- Thanks. It won't be for every chapter though, although if I could manage that it would interesting

    @VanillaBear-- Me too, and I mean that

    @Maylights -- No, there won't be as a matter of fact, I could have put these 3 in any order and it would not have mattered.

    @Bluebelle-- I know, I should blog more but, I don't have time--Joel

    @Carleigh-- I know, I did not want to write the whole word. I'm getting lazy.

    @Darcy_lover--It would.

    @iced_americanogirl-- Thanks- Joel

    @CranberriVodka-- I don't know. That was a detail I put in Nicholas's excerpt and I thought it was important.

    @Trichelle- If only women can pull that off in real life

    I know a woman who can-- Joel

    Lilac-- Sara ? You mean Shawna ? It's more Shawna, TBH--Joel

    HappyApple-- Shawna is more HWIC (head writer in charge) she isn't a bitch-- Joel

    The song was new to me too.

    Kandi-- I thought these chapter were full of thinking, so I decided to forfeit this song to this chapter. Sometimes it is hard for me to 'give up' a song.

    RedRose . . .
    . . . - Joel

    LibraryNerd-- We're not saying anything. Sorry !

    Natalie-- I like the gospel type music a lot. I hope to use more of it.

    HeapsofLace-- I know,I tried to find pictures but I think the words can speak for themselves. In the presses means if we had one more day it would have been finished.

    Ana M.--Awww, thanks !

    petite_b-- Very funny.

    Julie R. It's going to be legend-- wait for it . . .

    Alexa-- It's more for clarity purposes

    Trish-- Yes, it was. It's funny I do the same thing, I can relate nearly every song to UL.

    Sienna F. Yes, she is but in some ways Emily is a little bit of a hyperbole. I could almost say she is an overdone foil for Slate.

    Thanks, we appreciate the love !
